Vinnie Brand-A Tribute to Barry Jay-The Stress Factory Phone Calls

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.......some shit happened while 2 guys were ripping an old pay phone off the wall of an abandoned business. Cut to that phone being installed on the then virgin stage wall of the Stress Factory and wired into the house PA by non other than Wile E. Barry Jay, supergenius ....commandeered by Vinnie Brand with a handful of phone numbers and names and delivered like only Vinnie can, in front of a live audience, and you have some of the best phoney phone calls ever produced in the history of comedy. So funny, that most comics would request that Vinnie NOT do them during the opening of the show...they were just too hard to follow. ;) Join us as Vinnie reminisces a bit about that phone, Barry and the fun they made together in this weeks BONUS CAST, A Tribute to Barry Jay!

Vinnie Brand with Special Guests Ian Bagg and Chris Roach

Ian Bagg is the first name in this sentence, and chances are it will be the last. Ian started comedy in a small country off the coast of Japan called Canada. He proceeded to do all the show business things that every successful Canadian entertainer does. He went to a “Hockey Night in Canada” game on a Saturday night performed at the “Montreal Comedy Festival,” kissed a fish in New Foundland and did a “Comedy Now” special on CTV.  So what does a Canadian do when he has done all? He stops by the Stress Factory Comedy Club to tell Vinnie Brand all about it.

Chris Roach standing 6’6” tall Chris is bringing comedy to new heights. His self deprecating humor and mannerisms make this gentle giant stand out from the rest (or at least taller than the rest). Chris brings you into his world talking about everything from his family to some of his unusual life experiences.

Listen in as these two hysterical comics join in to double team Vinnie on this weeks Proving Ground podcast.
